An Introduction To Numerology

Numerology is a belief in the divine or mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events, feelings, and areas or themes of self-development. This practice has been in use for over 10,000 years with close ties to astrology, which also studies relationships based on how an event relates to the celestial bodies. Numerology can be used as both a divination tool and a means to understand yourself better by getting to know aspects of yourself that you may be unaware of or unable to see from another perspective. The combination of letters, numbers, and words can explain the underlying reasons why you do the things you do while allowing you to uncover your strengths and weaknesses. Here's what you need to know about numerology:

Numerology is a belief in the divine or mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events, feelings, and areas or themes of self-development.

Numerology is the study of numbers and their influence on the events in your life. It is a belief in the divine or mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events, feelings, and areas or themes of self-development. For example, if your name number adds up to 7 (5+2), you'll be drawn to business ventures that are creative but risky. The number 9 represents idealism, so you might want to pursue humanitarian causes instead of focusing on money making ventures.

7 = Idealism

9 = Humanitarianism

Numbers are broken down into single digit numbers, providing an expanded meaning.

Numerology is a system of divination that assigns numerical value to words and phrases. The belief behind numerology is that numbers have meaning beyond the mathematical, and can be applied to people, places, and events; this is called the Law of Correspondences.

The first step in understanding how Numerology works is by breaking down each number into single digits to provide an expanded meaning for each number. For example:

1 = Self-Worth & Personal Power (the ability to stand alone)

2 = Balance & Partnership (the need for someone else)

3 = Expression & Creativity (the desire to share it with others)

The day you were born, your birth name, and your birth time are used to determine your numerology profile.

These three numbers are used to determine your numerology profile, which can be calculated in one of two ways: by adding up the values of each of the three components (day + month + year), or by reducing them all to a single digit and then adding them together (12/9/1949 = 1+2+4+9+1+9+4=29).

The final number of your numerology profile can indicate your life path, destiny number, and soul urge number.

The life path and destiny numbers are the same in most cases because they both deal with how you will use your talents in this lifetime. However, some people have different numbers for their life purpose than their destiny number. This is because they may have more than one talent or skill to share with the world.

If you had a negative birth date (the month and day were both odd), then your Life Path will be 1 (1-9). If it was positive (even month/day), then it is 2 or 7 — unless you have an ending digit of 0 or 5 as your birth date; if so, these are considered neutral months/days and neither will affect your Life Path Number: For example, if someone were born on March 1st at 3 PM EST (-5) then their current Life Path would be 8 since the endings digits add up to 8: 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1; March being an odd month also contributes towards its contribution here too as does being born after midnight where no time zone conversion occurred in its calculation

Your life path number is the sum of the numbers in your birthdate.

It’s a number that represents your destiny and explains who you are as a person, what will happen to you in life, and how long you have to live. It's also known as the “karmic number” or “destiny number” because it reveals things about your past lives, karma (the good and bad things we do), and other aspects of your soul's journey through time.

Your destiny number is the sum of all the letters in your birth name.

If you were born with a single name, add up all its letters. For example, if you were born Amanda, your destiny number would be 6+1+4+3=14; 4+1=5—your destiny number is 5.

  • If you have more than one name, add up all the individual numbers that correspond to each one. Then add them together as above and use this result for your destiny reading instead of just using a single name or shortening it down to something simpler like "Amanda." This can sometimes produce surprising results which help reveal deeper truths about you. For example, if I was known as Yolanda Smith I would have three names: Yolanda (5), Smith (8), My talent or gift would be 8+2=10; 1+0=1—my destiny number is 1!

Your soul urge number is the sum of the vowels in your full name and birth date.

To find the sum of all your vowels, add them up to get a single number. This will help you determine what area of life needs attention or focus.

Example: If your name has 2 A’s and one E, then the vowel total would be 3 and the soul urge number would be 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 (or 6/9).

Numerology can be used to understand yourself better by getting to know aspects of yourself that you may be unaware of or unable to see from another perspective.

In addition, numerology helps individuals make better decisions about their lives, as well as relationships with others. The main idea behind numerology is that everything in our lives has a numerical value attached to it, which adds up to give us a total number that represents characteristics about ourselves or our life situation at a particular time. For example, if your name is “John” then its numbers add up for the following: 1+1+7+2 = 10 = 1+0=1

What this means is that there are two sides of every person; one being their conscious side (the “I”), and the other being their subconscious side (the “Me).

Conclusion

Numerology is a way of understanding yourself better. With the help of numerology, you can see aspects of yourself that you may be unaware of or unable to see from another perspective. It can also give insight into your future and what it holds for you, as well as providing guidance in times when we need it most.
